Students and student organizations who wish to attend in-state and out-of-state conferences that are related to their major must review the required information and submit a Conference Request to the Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee (SAFAC).

Member Application

SAFAC consists of seven members and three alternates.  If you wish to become a member of SAFAC, please go to this page and read and read the information provided.  Student may then download and complete the application form located at the bottom of the page. Once completed, the form may be submitted via email to or by dropping it off at either of the following locations:

  • Student Senate Office - Student Center SC204.3 (STPL Campus)


SAFAC Policy and Bylaws (PDF)

As a sub-committee of the Student Senate, SAFAC is charged with the responsibility of overseeing the allocation funds collected from student activity fees. 

As set forth by the Student Senate Bylaws, SAFAC judiciously reviews and updates its own processes, policies, and procedures in order to serve the ever-changing needs of the student body of Metropolitan State University. This is accomplished in a manner that reflects SAFAC's purpose and philosophy as communicated in its Mission Statement.
